Catalyst offers some additional DiSC background information that would have added too many pages to the PDF version. But that’s not where the real value is. Catalyst offers:

When is Catalyst not recommended?
For one individual, Catalyst still has some benefits, but much of the power of the platform (colleagues, groups) is not available .
If time is purely of the essence, the Catalyst assessment takes a little longer to complete.
For groups of people that are from different organizations (for example, a public interpersonal skills class), Catalyst may not be the optimal choice because one the class is over, each person would belong to a different organization. This can add to the adminstrative overhead to the point where it outweights the benefits.
But these are not typical
Not only are these situations are few and far between, Catalyst can still be used. It just may not be the best choice and we still offer the traditional Workplace profile for these cases.
