We get a lot of questions about Catalyst, but the most common question is “What is Catalyst?” So, let’s briefly answer that question.
The “Old Days” vs. Catalyst
The Everything DiSC assessments have been administered online for years, but the results were always a static PDF file. Catalyst takes those same results–for Workplace, Management and Agile EQ–and makes them available on an online platform. And that enables Catalyst to do things that a PDF cannot do, such as:
- Including videos of people exhibiting style characteristics
- Providing extra information on the DiSC model, including the research, theory and history of DiSC
- Letting you listen to a podcast with detailed information about your specific style
And those things are great improvements over the PDF, but they’re not even the best part!
Catalyst is about You and Them
Catalyst connects people within the organization, allowing them to learn about each others’ DiSC styles, their similarities and differences.
But Catalyst goes even further, with individualized tips on how to get to know each other, work together better, how to handle those times when things may get tense and even how to best approach someone to get their buy-in.
Catalyst is about Groups
Anyone on the platform can build a group map of up to 25 people in their organization and share it* with their colleagues. The group mapping function reveals insights into a group’s dynamics and provides a set of conversation starters that a team can use to improve their overall performance.
*Sharing of group maps is a feature coming in Fall of 2023.
