Normally, when you log into Catalyst, the first thing you see is a greeting that tells your style with your DiSC map alongside of that.
But one day you log in and it’s not there. There is nothing about your style. As you look around, you see that almost nothing else is there either. There is no Workplace information and none of your colleagues are visible anymore. Most of your DiSC Catalyst results are missing!
What happened?
Someone has issued a new assessment for you, that’s what happened.
Perhaps it has been a while since you last took the assessment or maybe something life changing happened (like, a pandemic?) and the powers that be decided that a new assessment was warranted.
Never fear! There are two ways to get your results back.
Retake the Assessment
If you retake the assessment, your (updated) results and all of your colleagues will return to your Catalyst account.
To do this, log into Catalyst and you will see a “Get started!” section with a link to “Take the assessment”. Click on that link to be taken through the series of questions. When you’re done, your account will be as it was before.
One Caveat!
If you have an account that has add-ons, like Agile EQ or Management, make sure the new assessment includes those also. If not, when you retake the Catalyst assessment, you may only see Workplace results and not the other applications. The others can be added back to the account (so they’re not actually gone), but there is an extra cost to do so. You might want to verify with the administrator that you won’t lose access to your other applications.
Ask the Administrator to Delete the New Request
The other way to get your results back is to have the administrator delete the new assessment invitation. You can typically reach them by responding to the assessment invitation. It’s a manual process for them, but once they have done it, your account will return to as it was before.
Back in Business
Either approach will restore your missing Catalyst results . It’s tempting to go the route of asking the admin to rescind the invitation to avoid the time it takes to complete the assessment. But we do change mildly over time and eventually our results are outdated–this is especially true in times of rapid change.
DiSC is such a valuable tool that it’s probably worth the 25 minutes or so of effort to get some updated results.
